work

Another Sunday, another episode of 'Get on to do one thing cause I won't have time on Monday. Only to get the call "Help" It is like they know when I log in. So something that should have been 30 - 60 minutes. I'm now just finishing 2 hours later.

productivity

So many of us work from home now. Or perhaps you started working during covid and mandates for work from home. Maybe you have a space set aside for it - meeting those safe, quiet, private requirements. Back when we were in the office yes keeping your desk clean was necessary. But who did the floors, the walls? Spend some time cleaning your area - especially if your mate, any kids are told not to go into that space. Your the one that has to do it no matter spending 8 plus hours there. Trust me some part of you will give thanks.

workmetrics

You do not get what you expect. You get what you measure. It a statement my leadership throws around like a truism. Unfortunately, it's true. Especially with the culture that we're dealing with. And so a couple new metrics for AI augmented SOC's.

1) Time for AI/Automated Processes - TfAP: Measure from alert creation through the point that AI or Automated processes are done with the alert. This could be to close the alert, or assign it for human work.

2) Time to First Human Touch - TtFHT: That measure of time from alert creation to through automation or AI processing.

work

Sometimes work just isn't fair. I feel like I'm stuck, cannot get the team to improve - trying every trick that I am allowed to in teaching them, encouraging them, trying to motive them. But the stick is in the mud here - while I cannot fire them even though they are not achieving what our goals are, none of them as our goals keep changing without my input.

coffee

That LaVazza coffee sampler - yeah it has this Super Crema blend. It doesn't produce any more crema in the cup than anything else that a Keurig cup will without having some milk solids ruining the coffee. Mostly tasty, not bitter, if the House is Harsh - this one is brash. I didn't enjoy it as my wake up cup, but in the afternoon a pretty good pick me up.

coffee

Finally getting through a new sampler of LaVazza coffee. All medium roast blends. The House blend good for mornings with a little harsh bite. Tried a bit of salt but not bitter enough for an effect. Cream? Tastes good but I usually drink black. By accident I let it sit for a while - it might as well have been resting like a good steak. 4 minutes after the brew - the harsh was not biting as much. Still a good wake you up cup.

workblogginglearningvibe-coding

Took a shot at it, got the basic html up and it looked like crap. Spend some time vibe coding it and this is working great and does not look too bad.

I've been dissatified with this blog for a while. So wiping and replacing wordpress, all it's dependencies for a simple one page status roll.
